Ruinart is the oldest Champagne house which started selling bottles of Champagne from 1729. Prior to that the family's business was really cotton, but as they began to provide customers free bottles of Champagne as a 'thank you' the demand for their fizz quickly meant that their attentions were soon fully on Champagne rather than the business of old. Today the cellars are beautiful and a World Heritage site in their own right
Aromas of fresh fruit (mostly citrus) combined with white flowers & white fruits (peach). This is truly a very attractive Blanc de Blancs, pure distinct & clear-cut. Evolves in the mouth, fluctuating between freshness, suppleness & fullness. Delightful with seafood, grilled sole or sashimi with white fish.
