Description
The year is 2016, Andy Murray has just won Wimbledon, Queen Elizabeth II has just turned 90, Leicester have just won the premier league, and Adam was looking at the back of a drinks bottle and reading a long list of ingredients that he couldn’t even spell. A seed was planted… That seed blossomed over the course of several nights out at the pub, as Adam increasingly noticed his friends changing their drinks orders; swapping beers for lighter alternatives. Adam wanted to create a cleaner, healthier drink to share with his mates, and he wanted to build a business he could be proud of in the process. “The goal was always clear: for PURE to be the good guy in the drinks industry” – Founder, Adam. PURE is a homegrown British success story. The business launched in July 2019 after 3 years of painstaking research and development with the first, flagship product… PURE Vodka, an award-winning, clean, organic spirit, built on the foundation of high-quality raw ingredients and owing its unique taste to the finest organic wheat it is derived from. The journey from field to bottle begins as the wheat is harvested by organic family farmers, who take pride in their fertile, healthy soil; free of synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers. This organic process protects the product that you drink from contaminating substances, as well as protecting the animals and environment around the fields from which it is produced. The organic wheat is distilled to maximum purity removing any remaining impurities (including gluten) and cut by hand to vodka strength (40%), creating a light, smooth tasting vodka that is vegan friendly and gluten free. In 2020, PURE launched a new product range: PURE Lite, cut to 20% vol. A lighter, lower calorie, spirit for half the guilt with the same delicious taste and… it makes an incredible martini. Head over to the STORE for much more information on these products and on our Save the Bees apparel range. All our products can be delivered direct to your doorstep!

White Russian Recipe
The White Russian was once a not-so-well-known cocktail; that all changed when The Dude came along. The White Russian was first mixed up back in 1949 when Gustave Tops, a Belgian bartender, dreamt up two luxurious cocktails, the Black and the White Russian. The difference? Well, the Black Russian lacks the indulgent cream. The White Russian exploded in popularity due to the 1998 cult-classic movie The Big Lebowski. This incidentally is where we learned about this drink! After seeing the main character, “the Dude” down drink after drink…you’ve got to try it for yourself. And thanks to the film becoming a cult classic over time, millions of The Big Lebowski fans have come to appreciate the White Russian, which ultimately saved it from extinction. We're sure you're bound to love this white russian recipe. It's a pretty generous amount of cream, so if you're looking for a lighter way, you can try the white russian recipe with milk. Today, as the drink has made a sweet comeback, there are dozens of White Russian riffs. For example, the White Mexican uses horchata instead of cream, the Dirty Russian swaps in chocolate milk for cream, the White Belgian uses chocolate liqueur instead of coffee, the White Canadian uses maple whiskey instead of vodka, and the White Cuban swaps out vodka for rum.
