Peroni Nastro Azzurro is a premium lager beer that originates from Italy. It is brewed using the original recipe and is still produced in the same Brewery in Vigevano, Lombardy. The beer gets its name from the blue ribbon that is tied around the neck of the bottle, which was inspired by the "Nastri Azzurri" (blue ribbons) that were awarded to athletes during the period of Italian Fascism.
