This rum is packed with mouth watering flavours that include maple, chocolate, honey and toffee and presents a rich full-bodied taste that tapers off in to the classic rum finish. With 7 years ageing comes quite a lot of detail if you ask me- Offers golden syrup and black treacle. Some cocoa, spices. Bourbon smoke, char, vanilla on the nose. Whilst thepalate has a lovely dark chocolate/ Tiramisu feel to it. The finish is all about cocoa and creme brulee. It can be enjoyed neat as a sipping rum, or over ice, equally it can mix a stunning contemporary take on a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned. Read more.

How life changes. Angostura Bitters were originally made by a surgeon, Dr Siegert, for his medical practice back in 1824. I doubt he had any inkling that the business would go on to change so radically- not only for the obvious reasons, but also the business would move from Venezuela to Trinidad some 50 years later. They were more renowned for their aromatic bitters until roughly 1940 when a conscious decision to increase their expertise in and production of Rum was taken.

Zombie Cocktail Recipe
If I asked you to think of a delicious tiki cocktail, there’s a high chance you may think of the famous tropical cocktail the Zombie. Created by Donn Beach in the 1930s when he opened America's first Polynesian-themed tiki bar in Hollywood, he kept the recipe underwraps with top secret codes, so few knew how to make it. This resulted in many exotic and tasty variations of the cocktail, but this one is as close to the original as we can find. A zombie cocktail recipe is the perfect one to try at home. It’s a classic tiki cocktail, and its potent reputation certainly proceeds it. If you can’t find one ingredient worry not, as the Zombie opens itself up to lots of creativity and interpretation. In fact, if you enjoy this recipe, make sure to experiment with your favourite fruits (such as passionfruit) and try both crushed and cubed ice to find the Zombie that tickles your fancy.
