Wines from Fleurie are known for being light, supple, and smooth, and Domaine des Marrans is no exception. Under the guidance of Mathieu Mélinan, the domaine - founded in the 1970s - keeps getting better with every vintage. The Gamay grown around here is clear and expressive; some of the character comes from the granite-based soil, some from the old vines, and some from the old-school vinification techniques.
