Ingredients

  • 2 oz Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime juice
  • 2 cups Watermelon cubed
  • 1/2 oz Agave syrup
  • Watermelon balls for garnish
  • 4 -6 Fresh Mint leaves + extra for garnishing
  • Ice cube
  • Salt for glass rim

Method

    1.  Prep serving glass– Rim the serving glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge along the rim and dipping the edges into salt.

    2. Cut fresh watermelon into small chunks. Make sure to remove any seeds.

    3. In a blender, add the watermelon chunks and blend until you have smooth puree.

    4. Strain the watermelon puree using a fine - mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds.

    5. In a cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and agave syrup and muddle them gently to release their oils and flavours.

    6.  Add tequila, fresh lime juice, and 1 cup strained watermelon juice to the shaker.

    7.  Fill shaker with ice cubes.

    8. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This will chill the mixture and infuse the mint flavour.

    9. Fill serving glass with fresh ice cubes.

    10. Strain the margarita mixture into the glass, pouring it over the fresh ice cubes

    11. Garnish with watermelon balls & sprig of mint.

    12. Give it a gentle stir.
