Regular price £39.49 £36.99

Matured in the French Ardennes, the Goupil de Wignac is a 100% pure fruit juice rose cider. It combines an agile mix of 88 % of pure apple juice (68% of sweet, bitter and sour cider apples and 20% of eating apples) with 12% of pure grape juice (a blend of different grape varieties). Afterwards, juices need to ferment during several months in barrels before being assembled and bottled on the estate. Must be drank very cold, the Goupil de Wignac can be served with ice cubes. Gluten free and with a low alcohol content (4.5%), enjoy it for pre-dinner drinks and through the evening. It's also a perfect partner for your brunch! Read more.

    Description

Once a land full of apple orchards and other fruits, the Ardennes region today is woodland and agricultural fields. Since the Second World War it has suffered from rural exodus. The aim at Wignac is to revive the orchards and bring back the cider tradition in the region.

    Hard Cider Mule Recipe

The Hard Cider Mule Recipe is, as you could probably guess, a take on the well-known Moscow Mule using Apple Cider. But did you know, the Mule cocktail doesn't originate from Moscow anyway? In fact, the famous Moscow Mule was actually invented in 1940s New York, and is sometimes pinned as the drink that ‘started it all’ in regards to the United States affiliation with vodka. Since then, the iconic copper-mugged cocktail has been much loved in many countries around the world. This cocktail has a clever use of vodka: covering up its harsh bite with cider and citrus. As such, the kind of vodka you use doesn't matter all that much, so don’t worry too much about which vodka you need to use. Instead, put more thought into choosing a good, strong, not overly sweet ginger beer (not ginger ale). Make sure you use fresh lime juice, and yes, using a copper mug is preferred aesthetically, but a regular glass will do just fine. The mule is one of our top easy mixed drinks because here’s the thing: you can mix it all in a glass. No tiresome shaking required! The only thing you have to actually do is juice a lime. Pour it into the glass, and you’re good to go!
