This burnished gold spirit presents a lemon citrus nose, then orange peel and an interlacing sweetness that softens but doesn't eliminate the zest. A quiet note of vanilla is followed by dark chocolate - more assertive, yet not overly so - with lingering floral and light oak notes. Citrus and boiled sweets rule the palate, along with hints of ginger and cinnamon, while soft oak tones reveal toasted apples. The finish is medium sweet, malty and slightly dry. Read more.

Description
The Macallan Estate is some 360 hectares in size and stunning to boot. The whiskies themselves have long been those of great distinction and full of character. At the heart of their creation is the Estate's own Minstrel Barley and the smallest stills in Speyside. Both go to ensure the house's signature rich, fruity and full flavours are ever present. If you ever come across an old Scottish £10 note, you will spot these very stills which appeared on the back of the note for a number of years.
