    Description

Unlike many other gins, the base alcohol for Gold 999.9 is made in the distillery, where the whole process takes place. The distillery is located amongst the borders of Germany, France and Switzerland, in a small village in Alsace. Part of the process is a secret but it is made as it was over a century ago.

After three distillations to create and refine the base alcohol, the final distillation is made with the different botanicals. The whole process takes place in pot stills that have been part of the distillery for centuries. Part of the process is still made in the little gold, pot-still that inspired this small-batch gin.

    Tasting Notes

Gold 999.9 is a complex gin with juniper, tangerine, violets, poppies, ginger, coriander and balsamic aromas of almonds and vanilla are blended together and Angelica root for balance.

    Negroni Cocktail Recipe

The Negroni was first served in Florence, Italy in 1919 meaning that it will be soon be 100 years old this year so what better way to celebrate than making one?! Legend has it that Count Camillo Negroni requested that his compandre gave his favourite cocktail, the Americano a kick up the you-know-what by substituting the soda water for gin.
