Ah rum, the drink that instantly transports you to tropical lands, with sand in your toes, a brisk sea breeze in your hair and a coconut tree for shade. Whether you prefer a white rum, a dark rum or a flavoured rum, there’s many reasons why your rum takes you to distant lands. The spirit itself is made by fermenting and then distilling sugarcane molasses and sugarcane juice (see, pretty exotic). This distilled liquid is either aged for a small amount of time to produce white rum like Bacardi Carta Blanca or darker rums like the Blacked Spiced Rum of Kraken.
