How To Make The Perfect Negroni
Have you ever wanted to be an actual grown up but also cba? Allow us to introduce you to our good friend the Negroni, a simple to make, easy to drink beverage for any occasion where "adulting" is required.
The Negroni was first served in Florence, Italy in 1919 meaning that it will be soon be 100 years old this year so what better way to celebrate than making one?! Legend has it that Count Camillo Negroni requested that his compandre gave his favourite cocktail, the Americano a kick up the you-know-what by substituting the soda water for gin.
- 45ml Campari
- 45ml The Botanist Gin
- 45ml Cocchi Amaro Vermouth
- Orange peel twist (garnish)
- Pour all ingredients into an ice filled glass
- Add orange peel
See! We told you it was easy and the best thing is it looks dead posh so whoever you serve it to will totally believe you're an extremely well put together human being... We won't tell if you don't!
The Best Negroni Variation
There are quite a few variations on the classic Negroni and we've thought long and hard about which is the best. You know we love a bit of bubbly here at The Bottle Club so we had to go for the Negroni Sbagliato. Stumbled upon in 1968 when a bartender accidentally used sparkling wine instead of gin when making a Negroni it has quickly become our favourite fizzy spin on the traditional iteration.
