Le Campuget

Gentle notes of black fruit are gently combined with subtle notes of olives and pepper- all very typical of wines from this area of the Rhone. Tannins are most certainly present but not enough to overtake other flavours and in fact only enhance the wine which should mean that this should taste well for the next 3-4 years. A classic blend of Syrah, Grenache, Merlot and Carignan.

You will find Chateau de Campuget on the slopes of the Costieres de Nimes. The family moved from the Mediterranean to the Rhone in 1942 and quickly established their winery with the ideal to make wines very much lead by local conditions (the infamous Mistral) and topography. We are delighted to say that the wines are therefore very much in the Rhone style.
