Taittinger

Noble fruit meets an aristocratic touch in Tattinger elegant, prestigious bubbles. Taittinger Champagne is one of the most cherished Champagnes in the world, with history that dates back to 1734. At this time, Jacques Fourneaux established the original Taittinger House in Reims, France, taking on Pierre Taittinger as the new owner in the 1930s. Today, Taittinger remains a family business. The thriving Champagne House is heavily reliant on the input of Pierre’s grandson Pierre-Emannuel and his two children.
Taittinger is part of Champagne’s Grand Marques, an association of the region’s finest Champagne producers. They produce the lion’s share of the grapes used in their Champagne in their own vineyards, and focus on Chardonnay as their dominant grape, making their bubbly notably fresh and floral, when compared to rival brands. Their standard offering – the Taittinger Brut Reserve NV – is delightfully crisp, and their Brut Rose NV is subtly complex. Buy a bottle of either and enjoy a sip of what Ian Flemming once described as “probably the finest Champagne in the world.”
